Gregory Herbert has been promoted by Jupiter Asset Management and will run the European portfolio of the Jupiter Global Managed Fund.
Herbert, a member of Jupiter’s European equities team, has been promoted to fund manager and will take over the portfolio from Cedric de Fonclare.
He joined the asset manager in 2005 and has worked alongside de Fonclare since 2007, focusing on analysis of companies and investment screening.
John Chatfeild-Roberts, chief investment officer of Jupiter, says: “This is a well-deserved promotion.
“In keeping with our policy of bringing on our newer fund managers, this is an excellent opportunity for him to further develop his skills by taking on more responsibility.”
The £253 Million Jupiter Global Managed Fund is run on a team basis and led by Simon Somerville, who was appointed to the fund last year. Herbert will apply the same investment process as de Fonclare used for European portfolio.
